Spectrum of Spinal Disease

Many chronic disorders of the spine involve degenerative changes.  Degenerative changes afflict levels of the spine and tissues of the spine at different rates in each person.  Chronic disorders of the spine can be generally divided into three categories of development which are the:
  • Early Stage which is often asymptomatic and associated with spine segment dysfunction
  • Intermediate Stage which is often associated with intermittent or persistent signs and symptoms
  • Advanced (Late) Stage which is often associated with progressive signs and symptoms and with some degree of physical limitation.
